I was a student At Mayra’s Spanish School for five weeks in October and November of 2008 and then again for four weeks in March-April of 2009.  My first experience as a beginner was so helpful that I returned to Banos, Ecuador from Cincinnati, Ohio.   Mayra takes a personal interest in her students and is perceptive to varied needs and skills.  Mayra herself is present to conduct classes and oversee her staff.  She is dedicated and experienced.  Her career teachers are responsible and well-trained.  I especially enjoyed the open discussions in which we students shared experienced and practiced our Spanish in groups, on walks, and during excursions. In nine weeks at the school, were no unhappy students.  I took four hours of private instruction per day and one hour of conversation.  Sometimes, there were added hours of conversation.  Mayra’s school accommodates all levels of proficiency and ages.
